The Top Tours And Places To See On Your Next Visit To Jamaica
By CS Stephanie Larkin
There is no place like Jamaica. Are you visiting this island paradise in the near future? If so, there are a number of tours and places to see that you should put on your itinerary. Who knows … maybe after visiting these locations, you'll love Jamaica so much that you will decide to never leave!

Cities of Interest

Much of Jamaica is rural, but there are a few popular cities that you should be sure to visit. Many of these cities are focused on tourism as the number one industry, so they are friendly to visitors from around the world. Jamaica's official language is English, so you'll be able to navigate around any of the following cities:

  • Kingston: The largest city in Jamaica is the nation's capital of Kingston. This city caters to tourists, with a number of hotels and restaurants available for visitors. It is also the location of the United States Embassy. While in Kingston, you can visit notable sites like the Bob Marley Museum, Hellshire Beach, The National Gallery of Jamaica, Plumb Point Lighthouse, and the Hope Botanical Gardens.
  • Ocho Rios: The port town of Ocho Rios is one of the most popular cruise ship destinations in the Caribbean. It is famous for its beaches and mineral springs, especially at Dunn's River Falls. While in Ocho Rios, you can see their famous 100+-year-old turtle, swim with the dolphins at Dolphin Cove, and hit the nightlife in Margaritaville.
  • Montego Bay: Montego Bay is the most popular tourist destination in Jamaica, in part due to the fact that it is home to the country's largest airport, the Sir Donald Sangester International Airport. This destination is home to Doctor Cave's Beach and a number of world-renowned golf courses.

Connection with Nature

While in Jamaica, consider focusing on the natural outdoor sites for part of your vacation. There are a number of tours that focus on the environment, and you can also consider visiting the following natural hot spots on your own to experience the beauty of this country:

8. The Mandeville Mountains: Mandeville is a city high in Jamaica's mountains. This destination is popular for bird watching and hiking. You can also explore caves in and around this city.

9. Lover's Leap at Treasure Beach: In southern Jamaica, rock climbers of all ages will enjoy visiting Lover's Leap, a high cliff with a lighthouse next to one of the most pristine beaches in the entire country. You can hike to the top and spend an afternoon
